Computer Clubs for CIS Majors

NMU AITP Student Chapter.  At Northern the student chapter of AITP is affiliated with the College of Business. However, membership in AITP is open to all NMU students. It is the mission of the Northern Michigan University (NMU) student chapter of AITP to provide technical assistance and information to the student body as well as the surrounding community.

Association for Computing Machinery ( http://csc.nmu.edu/wiki/ACM ). The Math and Computer Science Department also has a student chapter of the ACM. One of their main annual events is a programming contest. "The NMU-hosted programming contest is designed specifically for college students and has had as many as 24 teams from five universities participate."
