What is the International IT Seminar?

NMU CampusThe International IT Seminar is a unique 4 day event that brings together 25-30 upper division IT, CS and CIS students from 4 different schools. These 4 days are packed with learning, sharing, international team-building and socializing. Students are placed into multi-national teams to encourage learning about similarities and differences between culture, learning environments, computing programs and student life in other countries.

Each of the 4 schools is responsible for 1 day of presenting at the seminar. The school gets to pick their own topic within the IT discipline. Morning sessions of the seminar are lectures done by the professors of each university followed by student presentations. The afternoon programs are run by a student group and are run in a workshop format. At the end of the workshop the student groups present their projects to the other teams.

Evenings are for relaxing and socializing between all of the students. There is generally an evening activity planned by the hosting school.
