Welcome to the Web Site for our A Brazilian and U.S. Partnership for People, Planet and Profits: Fostering Socially, Environmentally, and Economically Sustainable Entrepreneurship. This grant which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education Fund for the Improvement of Post Secondary Education (FIPSE) is designed to develop a long term relationship between Northern Michigan University (NMU), Western Illinois University (WIU), Universidade Federal Rural da Amazonia (UFRA), and Universidade Federal de Lavras (UFLA). This relationship will hopefully engender the growth of sustainable businesses in both countries and develop the cultural awareness and business knowledge necessary for today's students to become tomorrow's global business leaders.

In today's Global Economy it is critical for students to be prepared to enter these challenging markets. Businesses are no longer simply local entities. They face competition from around the globe. They also will find collaborators, suppliers, and customers all around the globe and it is very important to know how to work with different cultures in a sustainable manner, so all partners gain and prosper in their efforts.
